David Johnson

David T. Johnson is a Senior Attorney with Tressler Law. Prior to joining Tressler Law in 2011, David was an associate at a 75-lawyer firm in Boston, in-house counsel at two different organizations, and most recently, owned his own private practice providing legal advice and counseling to individuals and businesses on a wide range of matters.

David is able to leverage his diverse legal background to provide a well-rounded approach to the practice of family law, and is particularly adept at handling complex property and asset/debt cases, business ownership and valuation issues, and structuring spousal maintenance, child support and custody settlements. He is a strong advocate for his clients and always provides insightful guidance in a considerate and thoughtful manner.

David is an alumnus of California State University, Northridge, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. David is also an alumnus of New England School of Law, in Boston, graduating with a Juris Doctor.

David has volunteered with Volunteer Lawyers Network/LegalCORPS and has worked on numerous pro bono projects for clients in the past. He is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Family Law League and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
